MANAGEMENT TEAM Todd Novaczyk - President & CEO
Todd Novaczyk is the founder, President and CEO of New Perspective Senior Living, a developer, owner and operator of senior living communities in the Midwest. Todd’s mission-driven, goal-oriented operations direction delivers superior resident care, food service, activities, programming and facilities management throughout all of the New Perspective Senior Living communities. Before founding New Perspective Senior Living, Todd was a Senior Vice President for Domestic and International franchising for Carlson Companies in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to Carlson, Todd acted as the President and CEO for Chabot Management Company, where he and his partner developed, owned and managed 61 restaurant and hotel properties over a twenty year period. The pair was responsible for site selection, financing, development, construction and management. Since 1998 Todd has developed, financed and operated nine senior housing communities in four states, providing secure, home-like environments for over 500 residents. Todd has both undergraduate and graduate degrees from St. Cloud State University and Mankato State University. Ryan Novaczyk - Chief Financial Officer
Ryan Novaczyk is responsible for directing the company’s fiscal functions, overseeing business performance, investments, strategy and growth initiatives. He is actively involved in the development and implementation of operational and financial strategies and systems, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, marketing, cash management, procurement, capital expenditures, acquisitions and financing/structuring new development projects.
Ryan has over 10 years of experience in the senior housing and finance sectors. Most recently he served as Vice President for the Galleon Group, a hedge fund based in New York. Prior to Galleon Ryan served as Vice President for Deephaven Capital, a hedge fund located in Minnesota. Previously Ryan was engaged in equity research and investment banking, specifically mergers and acquisitions at Piper Jaffray in Minnesota. While at Piper he was involved in closing over $1 billion of IPO and M&A-related financing. Ryan graduated from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota with a Bachelor-of-Arts Degree, majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics. Ryan holds a professional certificate in Finance, Seniors Housing & Care from the Erickson School at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).
Sheila McArdle - Vice President of Operations
Sheila brings more than thirty years of progressive experience in the senior care environment. Her experience includes leading operations and clinic services in assisted and independent living, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, skilled nursing centers and hospice settings. Sheila directed the opening of the first three Alzheimer’s programs in the State of Tennessee and has managed regions from 500 to 2700 beds. She has enjoyed a history of success in opening new properties and turning non-performing sites into profitable operations.
In addition to holding a Nursing Home Administrator’s license, Sheila is a Registered Nurse. After practicing as a nurse for a number of years, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Care Management from the University of Kansas.
Tina Duvall - Controller
Tina Duvall is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions including A/R, A/P, payroll and preparation of financial statements for New Perspective Senior Living. Tina has over 15 years of accounting and financial experience in various industries. This includes ten-plus years in the banking industry and five-plus years in various manufacturing industries. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from St. Cloud State University while maintaining a spot on the Honor Society, as well as a Bachelor of Science in accounting degree from Metro State University. Nicholas Novaczyk - Director of Construction Services
Nic completed an 83-unit assisted living and memory care community in Waconia, MN in 2005, and a 136-unit continuum of care community in Silvis, Illinois in 2006. Currently he is building two 15-unit communities in Cloquet, MN, scheduled to open in July of 2008, as well as a 15-unit memory care community in Silvis, that will open in October, 2008.
As the Director of Construction, Nic is responsible for our state-of-the-art facilities, supporting the development of new projects and maintenance of new and existing buildings in order to provide secure home-like environments for our seniors. He is also engaged in information technology support throughout the company. Prior to joining New Perspective Senior Living, Nic spent five years at Compass Productions, Inc, in Minneapolis as the in-store display manager of over 6000 locations, overseeing the customer service department and supporting the sales and design team. An accomplished pianist, Nic has also written and composed music through njn productions in Hopkins, MN, and has co-produced a CD for the Lifescapes series at Target Stores.
